The Cross-Cultural Disciple-Maker will seek to initiate a disciple-making movement by modeling a life of obedience to Jesus Christ, forming organic churches, and equipping all to make disciples.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cross-cultural connections with the target community through contextually appropriate strategies.
- In consultation with district leaders and field teammates, initiate new preaching points to engage pre-believers within the community. Indigenous disciple-makers should be encouraged to take leadership in the initiation and implementation of new preaching points.
- Equip indigenous disciples to participate in God’s Kingdom movement, inviting them into the mission, training them for ministry, and developing them into disciple-makers and leaders. At times, this will require the cross-cultural worker to facilitate organic fellowships and Bible studies.
- To support and encourage local church and district leaders.
Requirements:
- Evidence of the Spirit’s transforming work of sanctification, including spiritual and emotional maturity.
- Evidence of call to cross-cultural service
- Ability to make cross-cultural relationships.
- Self-starter
- Curious learner
- Ability to communicate Biblical truth in interpersonal and small group settings.
- Teaching credentials and Masters’ degree is preferred.
