National Education Coordinator in Senegal
A Teacher with experience in Pastoral Training is needed to coordinate educational initiatives in Senegal. This role is crucial in supporting the establishment of the Faculty of Theology of the Church of the Nazarene (FATEN) and overseeing the development of the Nazarene Theological Institute (ITN) in Senegal. The coordinator will lead efforts to enhance pastoral education and ensure alignment with the theological standards of the Church of the Nazarene.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support and Establishment:
- Assist in the establishment and administrative setup of FATEN (Faculté Africaine de Théologie Évangélique Nazaréenne).
- Lead the strategic development of ITN in Senegal, including curriculum design, faculty recruitment, and student enrollment.
Pastoral Education Oversight:
- Oversee pastoral education programs in Senegal.
- Develop and implement educational programs for pastors, ensuring alignment with the theological and doctrinal standards of the Church of the Nazarene.
Training and Development:
- Organize and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for pastors.
- Focus on enhancing pastors’ leadership and ministry skills through education and training initiatives.
Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with local churches and district leaders to identify the educational needs of pastors.
- Provide appropriate resources and support to meet these needs.
Accreditation and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure ITN programs meet the accreditation standards and educational goals of the Church of the Nazarene.
- Foster partnerships with other theological institutions, both regionally and globally, to enhance the quality and reach of ITN.
Liaison and Mentorship:
- Act as a resource person for ITN, offering guidance, mentorship, and support to faculty, students, and administrative staff.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Church of the Nazarene’s field offices and local ministries in Senegal, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Pastoral Training and theological education.
- Strong understanding of the Church of the Nazarene’s theological and doctrinal standards.
- Proven ability to develop and implement educational programs.
- Experience in curriculum design, faculty recruitment, and student enrolment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with local churches, district leaders, and theological institutions.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards for theological education.
