The Urban Cause Missionary | Cross-Cultural Church Planter (USA/Canada)

Is God calling you to urban missions? Ready to cross barriers, plant churches, and raise up leaders wherever the church needs you in the USA/Canada Region?

Responsibilities:

• The Urban Cause Missionary will serve as part of a team to: Cross cultural barriers to spread the gospel and scriptural holiness in urban contexts where the church is least present.
• Pioneer new missional activities that engage communities far from traditional church culture.
• Plant churches that embody the historic Nazarene essentials of compassion, evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, education, and holiness.
• Advance the Cycle of Resurgence through intentional, strategic urban church planting Disciple and raise up local leaders from within the urban community who will shepherd and multiply the work.
• Develop effective and contextual ministry that addresses the holistic needs of urban residents.
• Resource a growing church presence by modeling healthy, accountable urban ministry approaches.
• Collaborate with team members to create sustainable, transformative ministry in the urban context

Requirements:

• Attend in-person urban ministry training.
• A willingness to further educational and theological studies.
• Build and maintain a fundraising and support network. 
• Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Additional certifications or degrees in counseling, social work, community development, urban ministry, etc. are a plus.
