Coffee Shop Ministry in Wales

Are you called to building relationships and sharing the Gospel through community engagement in Colwyn Bay? The North Wales Network is a church-planting and compassionate ministries initiative, exploring new and creative ways to birth, sustain, and multiply churches across the region. At the heart of this initiative is Ty Enfys Coffee Shop, located in Colwyn Bay, Wales.

This space serves as a vital community hub, regularly hosting groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and other initiatives that support individuals in rebuilding their lives, finding employment, and contributing to their communities. This role is central to the mission. The volunteer will embody the Gospel of Jesus Christ through daily interactions with customers and community members, building meaningful relationships and being a consistent, welcoming presence. Through conversations and care, they will reflect Christ’s love and “shine like stars” in the community.

Responsibilities:

• Staff the Ty Enfys Coffee Shop, Monday to Friday 
• Build intentional relationships with customers and regular visitors
• Engage with community groups meeting in the space (e.g., AA, NA, and others)
• Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for all who enter
• Connect and collaborate with the wider Church of the Nazarene in the British Isles South

Requirements:

• A heart for ministry through hospitality and relationships
• Administration Skills 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliability and commitment to a consistent weekly schedule
• Willingness to serve as part of a team and support the broader mission
