Armenia Church Planter

Is God Calling you to serve in another culture, specially in the urban neigbourhood in Yerevan Armenia? Is God Giving you passion for the lost, specially these living in marginal Communities and most of the times coming from social disturbed families? Are you encouraged to work with children and youth? Is God Calling you to serve for long term in Missions?

The Missionary will join the Armenian Team and will work together with the Yerevan First Church and the District Leadership team In church planting activities.  Yerevan is the capital city of Armenia. This is a city where more than 1 million people. Even in spt of baing the first Christian nation in the world, majority of Armenians live in sin. Many of this sin is structural coming from the elites and affecting the people in the grassroot. Armenians are very open to listen to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but they live under fear from the national dominant religious group that comes from ancient times. Our task is to help Armenian to find and experience Jesus in their lives. One of the fertile areas for ministry are children and youth. Parents are open to allow their children to attend our kids Clubs where their children come to know and experience Jesus in their  lives. Once they ancouter Jesus, they can help their parents to find Jesus. Church planters have the opportunity to come and live in communities and to share their testimony and teach about Jesus to people.

Position Details:

• The person coming to serve in this position should be called to come and to live in a community and to be open to share the good news with  neighbors.
• Work in Coordination with the Armenia District leadership as well as the Yerevan First Church Team.
• Intentionally develop relations with people in the community, specially youth and children and through them to reach adults. 
• Some important activities will help to build community; eg; English teaching, Youth ministry, Kids Clubs, Bible Studies, etc.
• The person for this position is consecrated to God’s service , creative, friendly and patient with dealing in a different culture different to their culture of origin.

Responsibilities:

• Work in coordination with the District and Yerevan church teams.
• To live in a community and to start building relations with the people in that community.
• To start some ministries with people such as English teaching, couceling, life skills and other creative activities to reach the people.
• To start Bible Studies and Small groups around.
• To coordinate with the Yerevan Curch and district team about consolidating the group to become a CTM.
• There is the opportunity to get involved in other evangelism and discipleship activities as part of the team.

Requirements:

• English teaching
• Armenian language learning
• Evangelism, Discipleship and Mentorship experience
• Training in counseling
