Doctor of Ministry Program Director

Is God calling you to use your education and pastoral experience to guide the theological education for ministers studying at Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary in the Philippines?

Bridging cultures for Christ, Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS) equips each new generation of leaders to share the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Asia, the Pacific, and the world.

This missionary will serve as the Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program, modeling mature spiritual leadership and mentoring a new generation of ministers. The Doctor of Ministry program is an advanced, professional theological degree intended for practitioners of ministry who desire to be more effective in their calling and context of ministry. Its aim is to integrate theory and practice focused on an Asia-Pacific context.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the administration of the Doctor of Ministry program
• Recruit, advise and mentor students  
• Teach courses in the doctoral program and occasionally pastoral ministry courses in the masters program
• Schedule courses and arrange teachers for those courses
• Develop a team of faculty and dissertation advisors
• Resource and research for life-long pastoral ministry development

 Requirements: 

• A passion to serve God and the church and a calling to serve in theological education
• An ordained minister in good standing in the Church of the Nazarene
• Doctor of Ministry degree (or equivalent)
• At least ten years of effective pastoral ministry experience
• Awareness of global ministry issues and cross-cultural or multi-cultural experience
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Proficiency in technology related to teaching online
