Mission Intern – Indianapolis, Indiana

Is God calling you to join The Cause, to discover your Kingdom purpose while being equipped and empowered with missionary skills in the heart of Indianapolis alongside a Compassionate Ministry Center?  This mission intern will join with Nazarene Global Missions, the USA/CANADA Region, the Missions Mobilization team, Indianapois District, and Shepherd Community Church of the Nazarene and Shepherd Community Center in Indianapolis, Indiana USA. 

Responsibilities:

• Be guided in cultural bridge-building 
• Listen and learn alongside others on navigating cultural differences to build meaningful relationships.
• Community Engagement and Learning 
• Participate in cultural orientation activities, language learning opportunities, and community events to develop cross-cultural competency while contributing to relationship-building efforts.
• Support the ongoing work of the compassionate ministry center. 
• Daily and Weekly Communication and Teamwork skills. 
• Participate in exploring how God’s work and human dignity are revealed through cross-cultural service. 

Requirements:

• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability, with demonstrated interest in cross-cultural work. 
• Commitment to the organization’s mission and values, along with flexibility in role assignments. 
• A growing and active relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Passion for missions, discipleship, and community engagement. 
• A willingness to learn attitude.
• A willingness to lean into personal growth in the core elements of cross-cultural ministry under the mentorship and coaching of experienced leaders.
