Mission Intern – Portland, Oregon USA

Is God calling you to join The Cause and discover your Kingdom purpose while being equipped and empowered with missionary skills in the heart of the city? This mission intern will join with Nazarene Global Missions, the USA/CANADA Region, the Missions Mobilization team, Oregon Pacific District, Portland Central Nazarene Church, and Agape Village in being the hands and feet of Jesus in Portland, Oregon USA.   

Your Mission: Serve on the frontlines of cross-cultural ministry in a diverse, church-averse setting through compassionate community work that breaks cycles of poverty and homelessness while building trusting relationships? mobilizing Nazarenes in unity  around God’s heart for the marginalized.

Daily Ministry: Participate alongside a wide range of ministries; Crisis counseling, community assistance, volunteer leadership, prayer walking, neighborhood cleanup, Bible studies, addiction ministry, and multi-language discipleship (English, Spanish, Vietnamese) as you  bless our community  through tangible acts of love while  bringing people to Jesus  through relational ministry?learning by doing and growing by going.

Formation Focus: Step into a season of mission where you’ll be mentored and empowered to lead through hands-on experience in community transformation, cross-cultural ministry, and spiritual development as you  become a Christlike disciple  prepared for wherever God calls you next.
