Professor of Christian History / Historical Theology

Asia-Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary (APNTS) seeks a Professor of Christian History / Historical Theology to provide academic leadership in church history, historical theology, and Wesleyan studies. The faculty member will teach graduate and doctoral courses, mentor students in spiritual formation, and conduct research relevant to Asia-Pacific Christianity. The Professor teaches three graduate courses per semester while mentoring students and supervising thesis projects in an English as a Second-Language(ESL) environment. You will conduct research on Asia-Pacific Christianity, serve on faculty committees, and participate in seminary chapel life. Additionally, the role supports recruitment and upholds the Wesleyan-Holiness mission of APNTS.
Requirements Education & Alignment:
- Earned doctorate in Church History or Historical Theology, paired with a deep commitment to Wesleyan-Holiness theology.
- Instruction & Mentorship: Proven success teaching and advising graduate/doctoral students in multicultural, English as a Second-Language(ESL) settings, along with active scholarly research.
